In Cold Blood

In Cold Blood

A new 4K restoration of Sony Pictures' In Cold Blood (1967) will receive its worldwide premiere in Berlinale Classics. Written and directed by Richard Brooks, with masterful black and white cinematography by Conrad Hall, In Cold Blood is a powerful adaptation of Truman Capote's best-selling novel about two psychotic ex-convicts who slaughter an entire family.

Based on a remarkable true crime story, Brooks' adaptation was shot in several locations where the real life drama took place, including the house where Perry Smith and Dick Hickock committed the murders and the courtroom where they were subsequently sentenced. In Cold Blood, now restored, is an engaging, accurate depiction of Capote's non-fiction work.
