Park Circus to Represent Theatrical Distribution of Paramount Classic Films

Paramount Pictures International (PPI) and Park Circus Films are pleased to announce that, effective from 1^^st^^ December 2012, Park Circus has been appointed as repertory theatrical sales representative for the impressive library of motion pictures controlled by Paramount Pictures.

The agreement covers all territories outside of the United States and Canada and was signed by United International Pictures (UIP), the Paramount and Universal owned distribution JV, on behalf of Paramount and Park Circus Films. Negotiations were handled for UIP by David Bristow, Executive Director of Non-Theatrical, John Mirisch Senior Vice President International Distribution oversaw for Paramount and Joint Managing Directors, Nick Varley and John Letham represented Park Circus.

David Bristow said, "It's not hard to be impressed by the passion, energy and expertise of Nick, John and their team, we are excited to be working with them on Paramount's spectacular library”

Nick Varley, said, "From the earliest days of Hollywood, in fact for 100 years, Paramount has been a world leader in motion pictures. Park Circus is delighted to have concluded this deal to handle the Paramount library and we look forward to working with David Bristow and his team at UIP to get these truly fantastic classics back on the big screen”

John Mirisch added "This new arrangement will allow gems from our rich library of motion pictures to be shown to new audiences on big screens, in cinemas, as they were intended to be seen”

Paramount Pictures controls a vast library of films spanning a century of motion picture-making from Wings (1929) through golden age classics, including Sunset Boulevard (1950) and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), to modern classics such as The Godfather (1972) and Saturday Night Fever (1977). In line with their counterparts at other studios, Paramount is investing heavily in making many classics available in digital cinema format so that they can be experienced as they were meant to be seen, on the big screen and looking better than ever. Park Circus will work closely with exhibitors, festivals and programmers to bring these cinema greats back to the big screen.
