De Palma double dip

De Palma double dip

Frequently sited as his two finest films, 's 1980 stalker horror Dressed To Killand his 1981 conspiracy thriller (pictured) are now available to book on DCP. De Palma, the prolific -loving filmmaker who's other films include Vietnam war thriller , teen horror and counter cultural comedy Hi, Mom! is a director whose multi-referential work has often proved controversial and divided critics. Yet it was upon these two films that the notoriously opinionated, scathing and witty American film critic Pauline Kael heaped some of her most lavish praise. Dressed to Kill she called: "One of the most sheerly enjoyable films of recent years, this sophisticated horror comedy, is permeated with the distilled essence of impure thoughts.” While she referred to Blow Out as "probably the best of all American conspiracy movies.”

It's hard to argue with the great lady of The New Yorker, with endorsements from Quentin Tarantino and others, Blow Out long ago slipped into that all too small vitrine of rarefied and much-loved modern cult gems, while Dressed to Kill's impact was so significant it became the template for every subsequent slasher horror (for good and bad).

These two great films from an American master are available to book now on new DCPs.
