At 9 years old, Alex is an androgynous, graceful little boy who happily moves between genres, "both a boy and a girl". Supported by his parents who won't let anyone give him funny looks, Alex has a dream: he'll be Miss France when he grows up! 15 years later, Alex has lost his parents and his self-confidence. He leads a monotonous existence as an underdog. When an unexpected encounter rekindles this forgotten dream, Alex decides to compete in the Miss France pageant, France's most prestigious beauty contest, by hiding his identity as a boy.
