Axel Blackmar has a dream... Johnny Depp, Faye Dunaway, Jerry Lewis, Lili Taylor and supermodel Paulia Porizkova star--maybe collide--in this absurdist comedy by Palme d'Or-winning director Emir Kusturica about a young man and his Arizona Dream. Axel Blackmer (Depp) dreams of an Eskimo fishing on a frozen lake, but his life takes him from New York to his uncle Leo Sweetie's (Lewis) used-car lot in hot, dusty Douglas, Arizona. Uncle Leo is marrying Millie (Porizkova), who cries over everything, and he wants to leave the business to Axel. It should be a quick visit; he should be on his way back to New York. But Axel meets wealthy Elaine Stalker (Dunaway)--a widow since she murdered her husband--and her unstable daughter, and sparks fly between the three. Now, Axel Blackmer's dream of fishing Eskimos becomes a dream of cactus and a pair of woman who are more than a little unbalanced in this cult favorite.
