The Last Five Days (Fünf letzte Tage)
After being arrested for possession of anti-Nazi propaganda, young Sophie Scholl (Lena Stolze) is thrown in jail in Munich. Her cellmate, Else Gebel (Irm Hermann), is incarcerated on similar charges. Else is quite a bit older than Sophie, but they grow close in the five days they are together, comforting each other amid the brutal interrogations of the Nazi investigators. Sophie stoically faces her accusers, refusing to compromise her beliefs, in this moving film based on a true story.
