The Angel with the Trumpet

In this generation-spanning saga of an Austrian Jewish family, young Henrietta Stein (Eileen Herlie) has found true love with Prince Rudolf (Norman Wooland), but her parents force her to marry the dependable Francis Alt (Basil Sydney) instead, and Rudolf kills himself. Henrietta, bored with the uptight Francis, never forgives herself for abandoning Rudolf at her family's behest. When the Nazis later seize control of Austria, she determines to direct her own destiny this time.
