Norman Wisdom plays four different characters in this film. Norman’s character is born of a suffragette mother and a sewerman. The suffragette mother turns out to be the Prime Minister’s daughter who, when he discovers Norman selling newspapers in the street, is not best pleased. He arranges a job for Norman at the Tinmouth Times where, naturally, he causes much havoc, particularly when reporting on the local beauty contest!
