Resurrected

It is July 1982 and at a typical church in a small village in Lancashire, a military commemoration service is being held for Private Kevin Deakin.
His parents (Tom Bell and Rita Tushingham) accompanied by Julie, his girlfriend (Rudi Davies), and ten-year old brother (Michael Pollitt) are at the head of a congregation packed with villagers and soldiers in uniform.
Some weeks later, unaware that the war in the Falklands is over and that he has been hailed as a dead hero, Kevin Deakin (David Thewlis) stumbles into an isolated Falklands farmhouse, apparently suffering from amnesia.
The farmer contacts British military authorities and admitted to a Port Stanley Hospital, Kevin recovers from exhausticn and malnutrition. Although physically unharmed, he re-lives his battle experiences in nightmarish dreams, recalling the time he saved the life of a member of his platoon, losing consciousness hirrself in an explosion that followed.
Only one recurring vision seems to haunt him.
