Insignificance

Four 1950s cultural icons (Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio and Senator Joseph MacCarthy) meet in this fictional fable of post World War II America. Visually intriguing, the film has a fluid progression of flashbacks and flash-forwards centering on Einstein’s current observations and apprehensions for the future. Directed by Nicolas Roeg, he won the Technical Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
