Snowbound

After leaving the army, Neil Blair is sent on assignment to the Alps, supposedly as a scriptwriter, to keep an eye on certain mysterious happenings at an isolated ski hut. When he arrives, Blair encounters two characters who are less than hospitable. One is Keramikos, a ‘Greek’, the other Gilbert Mayne, a guest who invites Blair on a ski run. Mayne attempts to have him killed by arranging an accident, but he survives and returns to ask more questions. It is revealed that the Greek is in fact an ex-Nazi, looking for a consignment of gold bullion that is allegedly hidden there. Mayne is also looking for the gold, and as each tries to outwit the other, a series of violent clashes occur.
