Sarah is a young and beautiful Frenchwoman who is delighted when a handsome English businessman named Richard visits her town. She is even happier when his brother, John, appears. The two fall in love and plan to marry, but Richard is very bitter about it. As their marriage progresses, Richard attempts to sabotage their happiness and will stop at nothing to ruin it.
