BRIGHAM is the true story of a man with a dream. A dream of life free from persecution. Brigham Young led his group of Mormons from Illinois, where they were not allowed to practice their religion, to California which promised freedom. Forced to spend a year in a desolate valley in Utah, there they planted thier crop only to have them invaded by swarms of locusts. The group prayed for a miracle. It happened. Hundreds of miles from the ocean, thousands of seagulls descended on the locusts, leaving the crop intact. The Mormons decided to stay in the desolate valley, which they named Salt Lake City.
