Burns Night may be over for another year, but there's still plenty of whisky to go around - or is there? We're washing up on the shores of Todday, way out in the Outer Hebrides, and salvaging our supplies for a behind the scenes look at the making of wartime comedy classic Whisky Galore!.
Todday is blissfully untouched by the ravages of the Second World War - that is, until the ration of whisky dries up completely. But when the SS Politician sinks on their shores en route to Jamaica, the islanders cannot resist the temptation to replenish their depleted supplies, gleefully looting the 250,000 bottles of whisky the Politician was carrying. Only an English Home Guard captain stands in their way...
